 |
September 7th...inquiring minds want to know...why anyone in their right mind would launch a kite at Coyote today???
1) in a gusty WSW wind
2) upwind of a beach full of windsurfers (mostly newbies practicing waterstarts, uphauls and such in the shallows)
3) only to crash, burn and strafe thru the entire windsurf launch area taking out women and children along the way.
more incriminating photos here...

 |
| May 28th, Coyote Point...beginner kiters and beginner boardsailors are a potentially dangerous combination. Fortunately the wind was light when they crossed paths, but the windsurfer had to aggressivly head up into the wind to avoid contact with the beginner kiter drifting thru the windsurf launch. More Coyote pics here... |

April 12. Another incredible photo from the San Francisco Chronicle...
Swell ride: Brazilian surfer Picuruta Salazar rides the "Pororoca," a 12-foot wave that flows upstream once a year on the Amazon. The wave occurs when the ocean whips back on the heavily drained river, creating a giant curl that flows for hundreds of miles. Salazar rode this year's Pororoca through the rainforest for 37 minutes -- a surfing record.
And I thought the Bay is a muddy mess...sheesh!
