kitemares to remember 2004

What's the weather?
November 21...in search of a launch to take advantage of a cold north wind, a few 3rd. Ave. regulars decended on this "secret spot." secret spot
November 15th and 16th at 3rd. Ave...local Bay Area kiter, windsurfer and sailor Mark Basta ran aground during a personal medical emergency while navigating home from Sausalito...(more here...) Run Aground

October 7–11... NeilPryde, JP, Cabrinha, NeilPryde Waterwear and Bic Surfboard dealers and reps from all over the USA and South America descended upon Miami and were hosted by Adventure Sports, Inc. We were joined by Pete Cabrinha, Robert Stroj (NP designer) and Werner Gnigler (JP designer). Fun was had by everyone playing with all the gear on the water in Key Biscayne, Crandon Park and Matheson Hammock Park. Should have seen the kiters trying to lean to windsurf. Night life included dinner in South Beach as well as other popular local hangouts...and of course plenty of mojitos (cuban rum concoction). Also had the priviledge of attending the world premier of the new Cabrinha DVD Metrolpolis with Pete Cabrinha and about 400+ locals, and oh yeah, 3rd Ave Dave made sure there was always plenty of beer. I packed a little point'n shoot camera and got a few pics here...
