NeilPryde, JP, Cabrinha, NeilPryde Waterwear and Bic Surfboard dealers and reps from all over the USA and South America descended upon Miami and were hosted by Adventure Sports, Inc. We were joined by Pete Cabrinha, Robert Stroj (NP designer) and Werner Gnigler (JP designer). Fun was had by everyone playing with all the gear on the water in Key Biscayne, Crandon Park and Matheson Hammock Park. Should have seen the kiters trying to lean to windsurf. Night life included dinner in South Beach as well as other popular local hangouts...and of course plenty of mojitos (cuban rum concoction). Also had the priviledge of attending the world premier of the new Cabrinha DVD Metrolpolis with Pete Cabrinha and about 400+ locals, and oh yeah, 3rd Ave Dave made sure there was always plenty of beer. I packed a little point'n shoot camera and got a few pics here...

 |
| June 26 @ Coyote...the wind has been relentless...which is a good thing until the big boys are op'd on 4.1's and smaller.
Scariest sight was watching the Formula boyz launching in the voodoo gusts that reached more than 42 knots...
Strangest sight was seeing the same Formula boyz lining up to sail the one slalom rig among them.
Rob Hartman, Al Mirel and Chris Radkowski on the inside playing tag team slalom...pic here...

| Coyote Point, June 13th. Another 40+ knot blow...what started as a classic northwest ebb ended in the now familiar west-southwest-gust-fest. A few shots from inside here... |

of Tyson, Troy and Wyatt at 3rd. during the recent wind-mayhem. click here... |
| The wind at Coyote and 3rd. Ave...has been southwest, gusty, and non-stop, at times 40 to 50 knots, for the past 5 days. The water has turned into a muddy chocolate milkshake. Kids love milkshakes and as we all know, tricks are for kids.
A couple of shots in and out of the sunshine here...

"Kid's Rig" left at the beach, Coyote Pt. Memorial Day...please contact us if you found it. Make a little girl happy again! (the rig can be seen in the pics linked below)
A note from Gerritt, Sunday, June 6th;
"I am happy to report that the Rangers at Coyote Point picked it up and we recovered the rig yesterday! Big Thanks to the Rangers!"

| Memorial Day (Monday) at Coyote...Natalie R took dad Gerritt out for some windsurfing fun! some snaps here... |
 |
| Memorial Day Weekend at Coyote...the wind has been great for the past several days. This weekend seems to be the official kickoff for the windsurf season here. The parking lot was crowded to overflow and the wind filled in to the beach.
A few late afternoon snaps of Jordan Reid... young gun from Pleasanton who will be competing at King of the Bay IV.
More photos of Jordan (taken last season) can be seen here...

April 15, Breaking News!...this just in from the iWindsurf discussion forum. A distraught windsurfer writes:
"What happened to Crown Brach in Alameda, CA
I sailed there couple of time last year and was able to sail right up to the beach. Lately it looks like the water level is way down. Are they doing something near by to effect the water level? Or is this typical for this time of year?"
This is indeed alarming news! Rest assured, Team Coyote's crack news staff and investigative reporters are on the job looking into this breaking news story.
...stay tuned

is up and running...this is what we've been waiting for! Check it out

|
 |
 |
 |
Wassup with...the '80+ degrees in March'
thing that includes a wind window of 15
minutes per day??? Even guys who are
hyper(sonic) about the sport couldn't
buy a plane if it was parked on a runway!
Lightwind stuff is the only recourse. |
 |
| March 2nd, Coyote Point...Mark Paine, Dave Taylor and Hunt Hyde making use of 10 knots of wind in the muddy shallows...wasn't even enough wind to launch a kite. |

Golf balls got you down? Please read this...
"The San Francisco Boardsailing Association will hold a meeting so
that all windsurfers and kitesurfers will have an opportunity to get
up to date on the golf ball situation at the Third Avenue/Foster
City launch and offer their input.
Please let me know if you will attend. The City is providing the
room which they normally charge for and I want to ensure that people
will be coming if we are going to take the room.
Wednesday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m. Foster City Community Center - Wind
Room 1000 E. Hillsdale Boulevard Foster City
This is a great time of year to have the meeting beacuse we will not
be torn between sailing and going to the meeting. It is important
to discuss the issue as a community so that we can take a position
with the city and the golf course that will give us the best chance
of avoiding anymore damage or injuries in the coming season/seasons.
Please forward this to any Third Ave sailors not on the distribution
list.
Thanks,
Peter Thorner President, San Francisco Boardsailing Association
